My wife and I have been avid home cooks for over 20 years. In that time, we have learned that a sharp knife is a cook's best tool. It makes meal prep faster, easier, safer, and more enjoyable.

I had our knives professionally sharpened a few times a year. I would drive all over Northeast Ohio to find the best options. Then Covid happened and I decided I need to figure out how to sharpen knives. I studied all the options and started with a whetstone. I got good results this way.

Soon I was sharpening anything I could get my hands on. The process of sharpening is almost meditative for me. Add the satisfaction of taking something extremely dull to hair shaving sharp....this is how I got the passion for sharpening.

Over time, I have developed new skills and accumulated different tools to allow me to get excellent, repeatable results on many different types of blades. I built out a workshop in the basement of my Copley Ohio home. In that time, I have sharpened over 1,000 items. I provide service to customers all over the Akron area. Typically, they bring items to me then pick up when done. I will also sharpen at customer site if needed.
